A message from Tony Roehrick, Ed.D., Superintendent
The Bellevue Union School District is dedicated to providing the highest quality educational program to our students. We take tremendous pride in our role as a collaborative partner with our parents and greater community. Together, we make the greatest impact on the lives of our students.
I am very proud of each of our schools and the tremendous dedication to students every one of our teachers and support staff show each day. Our primary responsibility is to increase the opportunity each of our students has as they transistion from elementary to middle school. The best way to accomplish this goal is to ensure every student reaches full literacy by the end of the third grade. In order to meet this goal, it is essential that students have every opportunity to practice their reading. We know that athletes improve their skills through practice. It is the same for readers. Students who read 15-30 minutes every day outside of school consistently out perform students who do not.
