Curriculum and Instruction

The Department of Curriculum and Instruction oversees instructional program offered to all students, as well as the management of a number of categorical programs.  Among the programs under the direction of this department are:

  • Gifted and Talented Education Program (GATE)
  • Title I
  • English Learner
  • Textbook Adoption
  • State and District Assessment

Our district adopted curriculum is as follows:

  • Language Arts: Houghton Mifflin: Reading: A Legacy of Literacy
  • English Language Scott Foresman: enVision
  • History Social Science: MacMillan/McGraw Hill California Vistas
  • Science: MacMillan/McGraw Hill California Science

Aiming High

The Belllevue Union School District is a member of a county-wide initiative to increase the achievement of our English learners.  This initiative includes partnerships with school districts, the Sonoma County Office of Education, Santa Rosa Junior College, Sonoma State University, the United Way, and various business organizations such as the Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce.  Below are links to Aiming High documents.
